Our Story

For as long as I can remember I’ve been surrounded by a family that loves machines - anything “that goes” - people with tools in the garage and grease on their clothes. Their enthusiasm for cars, motorcycles, tanks and aeroplanes is a vital element in the story of Dahms Technik.

Their enthusiasm followed me through high school and university, and in 2004 I was fortunate to begin my own engineering story at Connell Wagner in Spring Hill, Brisbane. In Connell Wagner, Aurecon and Aurecon Hatch I found the opportunity to work with talented and generous people on projects of great significance in the bulk materials handling industry. For 16 years I learned all that I could about industrial machines - how they’re designed, built, operated and maintained.

These formative years in industry have given me a strong belief in the importance of holistic engineering practice – design, communication and implementation combined with an empathy and appreciation for the client, the craft, operators, and maintainers. In 2019 Dahms Technik was born from this belief, and the desire to offer the industry a genuine Australian family-owned engineering firm with a story to continue.
